LATEST NEWS:
VISIT 08 is an artists open studios weekend, taking place across
Dublin city. Half the participating studios will open on Saturday
19th April and the other half on Sunday 20th April.VISIT is a free
public event.
Vanessa's Studio, in
the Stoney Batter Studio will be open from 12-5:30pm on Sunday 20th April 2008.
Vanessa is currently in the second year of the Art making pathway, on the MA Visual Arts Practices, a Masters of Arts programme, provided by the Institute of Art, Design & Technology and based in Studio 6 of the Temple Bar Gallery and Studios. MAVIS
Vanessa's works, Sense of place/Nautical (4 pieces), have been selected for this years annual exhibition in gallery one at the RHA, Dublin. More information.
Two of Vanessa's recent works, Map Stripped Bare Fjord & The
Only Place, the Place where You Are, were selected by curator Klaus
Ottmann for the 31st annual exhibhition of contemporary art
event in Limerick. The works will be showing from 30 March - 24th
June 2007 in the Limerick
City Gallery of Art. The Bank of Ireland purchased a work for
their corporate collection which will also be displayed later in the
year in Dublin.
The Open EV+A 2007 catalogue will be
available from 25th May, published by Gandon Editions. More

Vanessa's recent work is featured with the Stone Gallery at ART 07, the first art event featuring Irelands foremost galleries.More information.

through Winter
A special fundraising event on Sat 7th & Sun 8th October 2006
when the Hunt
Museum Gallery, Limerick, will be filled with hundreds of
postcard-sized works of art, which have been generously donated by
100's of artists from Ireland and other countries.
Each work
of art is signed on the back, so that the identity of the artist
will be revealed only when the purchase is completed. Further

Vanessa's Studio, in
the Stoney
Batter Studio , Brunswick Mill complex, will be open to all on
the 30th September as part of the Dublin City wide VISIT
initiative.
For the first time in Dublin, over one hundred
artists will open their studio doors, seven of the city’s largest
artists’ studio groups will take part in VISIT.
Groups and
organisations represented include: Broadstone Studios, Brunswick
Street Studios, Dublin City Council, The Red Stables, Fire Station
Artists’ Studios, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA’s) Artists’
Residency Programme, Pallas Heights and Studios and Temple Bar
Gallery and Studios.
